Left 40 mins late; we were fine on our connection but many on our flight were not.
Pros: "The crew member who is close to my seat did not even offer to help with my luggage which was very unprofessional."
Cons: "The crew members needs to be helpful, and customer service to their passengers!"
Pros: "Landing"
Cons: "Everything. Major delay, lost my vacation time"
Cons: "Flight was delayed, so missed connection."
Cons: "The AC was off while we were waiting to takeoff so it never felt cool in the cabin for the hour(ish) long flight we had. I don’t know if it was the size of plane that made it so we couldn’t have that on while taxiing/waiting our turn to take off or what, but it was too hot and stuffy onboard in Texas on the tarmac. Our next flight from Dallas to Huntsville, AL had the AC on the entire time we were waiting our turn/taking off- the plane was newer and slightly bigger. Not sure what the deal was but it made the flight pretty miserable."
Cons: "Check in was terrible. Took an hour waiting in line"
Cons: "No snacks"
Pros: "Everything went smoothly."
Cons: "The flight was packed and wearing masks Was not enforced."

Pros: "Very friendly crew, my flights were on time, good selection of movies. That's about it."
Cons: "Their Basic fare should be renamed "Bare-sic" – you have to pay for almost anything. Food choices can be better. I guess they can pay the Munich airport to get better treatment and not having to bus their passengers around."
Cons: "Size of seat"
Cons: "The communication on the actual flight could have been better. The flight from Houston to Charlotte was not very informative as in weather conditions, traffic, or the time in which we landed was not gone over."
Cons: "Smoke in cabin, has to return to Houston. Then they never transferred our luggage as promised."
Pros: "Great crew. Easily accessible."
Cons: "Several delays."
Cons: "Gate change and delay in boarding. Delayed landing and made connecting flight difficult"
Pros: "Much better the typical American cattle class. Qantas actually served real food. Cabin was spacious."
Pros: "NA"
Cons: "Multiple delayed flights leading to short connection time. Despite meeting stated time, denied entry and surprises that my ticket was changed with no effort to correct said error at the gate despite adequate time prior to take off."
Cons: "Need some sort of gluten free snacks!"
Cons: "Crew was very rude and the inflight food and entertainment was horrible. Food wasn’t edible and my tv didn’t work"
Pros: "Early arrival and ease to sit down"
Cons: "Better snacks and"
Pros: "Punctuality"
Cons: "NA"
Pros: "Everything worked out great."

Pros: "Was able to sleep"
Cons: "Nothing"
Cons: "Delay"
Pros: "Very little"
Cons: "Gotta fly from HOU to DFW to get anywhere ... Delays, running from gate to gate .. meanwhile AA staff and gate agents are always scowling and never helpful. In general, flying is expensive and sucks."
Pros: "I decided to travel First Class from Houston TX and that was the greatest choice I ever made. IAH requires travelers to arrive 2-3 hrs early due to traffic or weather conditions. I checked in at 2 pm and waited for my 5 pm boarding call. First class was amazing! I stored my belongings without any issues. I sipped wine and dined on pasta and watched the movie Father Figures with Owen Wilson and Ed Helms. The stewardess was polite and friendly. The food was enjoyable and the passengers were friendly. The bathroom as also immaculate, I was impressed."
Cons: "No complaints!"
Cons: "3 planes all with mechanical issues... numerous people left stranded, the whole thing was a nightmare. Finally got home around 1 00 AM. But the worst part was the gate agents I literally felt like I was disrupting their day! Email sent to American."
Pros: "Everything was fine except..."
Cons: "The directions don’t work to connect to in flight entertainment."
Cons: "Airplane very uncomfortable!spacevery reduce to obtain more seating capacity they forgot customer comfort"
Pros: "the fly was on time"
Cons: "I don't like central seats"
Pros: "Flight attendants were nice trip was uneventful."
Cons: "Delayed. We were unable to change the flight to sit together. Staff not very helpful"
Pros: "Snacks"
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Personnel; lack of customer service"
Cons: "Plane got cancelled. Missed my other flight. Spending $100 more that was unnecessary"
Pros: "Good pilot...smooth landing."
Cons: "snacks and lack of in-flight entertainment."
Cons: "Late and delayed arrival. No seed assign until I was at the gate"
Cons: "Delay No direction help for the gate Bad seats"
Cons: "They lost our baggage and communication was terrible"
Pros: "Easy to book. Reasonable price. 10/10 would book again."
Cons: "Nothing."
Pros: "Very good"
Pros: "Free beverage"
Cons: "Was told I couldn't get on earlier flight because I hate checked a bag. That bag ended up on earlier flight and sat in Rochester for 5 hours. Was delayed due to "maintenance" and the inability to find flight attendant. Ended up changing gates and then forgotten for 45 minutes before manager asked someone if we were headed to Rochester. Once aboard second plane waited for another 45 minutes for fuel. Never flying American again. Was told I couldn't get on earlier flight because I hate checked a bag. Ended up changing gates and then forgotten for 45 minutes before manager asked someone if we were headed to Rochester. Once aboard second plane waited for another 45 minutes for fuel. Never flying American again."
Pros: "I sat next to my wife"
Cons: "Paying extra for seating"
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "I feel as though I should receive some kind of courtesy credit for the poor condition of the plane, friendliness of the staff, efficiency of the staff, and finally for being 3 hours late because failure to adequately fuel the plane. I was skipped for receiving refreshments, the plane had interior panels falling off. The second flight didn't have enough fuel for a 40 minute flight. The pilot told us that we were delayed for rain for 10 minutes but we did not have enough fuel to circle around. As a result we came back to Philadelphia. I missed a graduation party as a result. I had a poor experience. The flight attendants did not greet me on entrance or exit."
Pros: "A two hour ride on an airplane without having to drive."
Cons: "The seats are extremely uncomfortable on this pane."
Pros: "The flight was excellent and the price was right"
Cons: "No complaints"
Pros: "Everything"
Pros: "Llego a tiempo"
Cons: "N/h"
Pros: "that I was finally able to go home"
Cons: "Customer service was very poor. The arline could've notified the connecting flight that we had landed and to wait on us. Instead, the connecting flight was scheduled to leave at 9:50. I arrived at the gate at 9:49 and the flight had already left. In addition, the reps did not show and form of empathy that we had missed the flight, of no fault of our own. When asked to provide transportation the connecting flight, the rep acted put out and stated we would have to wait (mind you, the next flight wasn't scheduled to board until 1:44pm). I was then told, the rep was going to lunch and I would have to flag down a ride. Lastly, a $10.00 voucher was nothing considering most airport meals are over $10.00."
Cons: "The departure gate was changed four or five times, including after we had traipsed from one end of the concourse to the other, only to have the gate changed BACK to the one from which we came. This was at supper time; we wanted to eat in the terminal but were rousted from two different lines to change gates. We couldn't stop running back and forth long enough to eat! I got updated info more quickly from Kayak than from United, despite having signed up for email and text notifications and having the United app. Come on!! Eventually we were marched down to a narrow hallway, crowded with passengers from two other departing flights, held in formation by obviously harried gate agents and finally led outside to the ramp to board the plane. The worst boarding experience. Ever. Give me Southwest anytime."
Cons: "Delays"
Pros: "Ol"
Cons: "Oi"
Pros: "Crew was accommodating."
Cons: "My luggage is all soaking wet. Horrible."
Pros: "WiFi and entertainment on board the aircraft"
Cons: "All goof"
Cons: "After being so delayed on our first flight from San Francisco, I was nervous about getting to our connecting flight in Houston. We were assured by the flight attendant that when a flight is delayed and has connections, they communicate that to the gates and we would be fine. It was the OPPOSITE of fine. We landed with 10 minutes until the flight to Costa Rica left and they let all of us who were connecting deplane first, only to run full speed to a gate who’s plane left 10 minutes EARLY and decided that it was not going to wait for the 12+ passenagers who had no control of the delayed flight. My fiancé and I were flying to our WEDDING. So now I’m sitting here in Houston for a full 24 hours waiting for the next flight to take me to my wedding. The only “accommodation” united airlines gave us was a hotel. No compensation for the night we paid for at our resort in Costa Rica that we are missing, no upgrades to a better class on our new flight and no reassurance on how terrible they feel for this giant and heartbreaking inconvenience. I am furious."
Pros: "The crew was very kind, professional and accommodating."
Cons: "I paid extra so that we could have more leg room and be closer to the front of the plane yet upon embarking we were part of the last group to board. We sat in the first isle directly behind firstclass yet borded. virtually last. I was told by the flight attendant that because I purchased my airfare through Kayak as opposed to the airline was the reason behind this. I had no idea that this was the case and on top of spending the additional fee for upgrading, I was disappointed. I have a 0 star for entertainment because there was no N/A as a selection choice. There were no movies or entertainment aboard this aircraft."
Pros: "Service is great fly on time"
Cons: "Seats are not very comfortable. Food selection is not very good.."
Pros: "There was a fair amount of leg room."
Cons: "Boarding could be a little frustrating because groups 3 4 5 were 1 lane and there wasn't a lot of room in the airport. Also, there wasn't a lot of time to get from one side of the airport to the other to stop at the restroom and get a real meal, since there was nothing served on the previous flight. Due to turbulence there was nothing served on the flight, which is beyond the control of the crew. They knrw ahead of time about the turbulence, perhaps they could have quickly passed out pretzels or cookie before the flight took off."
Pros: "Friendly staff"
Cons: "Too cold"
Pros: "I had no problems the gate agent was very nice and I did get the basic economy which that only did I have to pay for my bags but I also got the last seat in the back in the corner which is OK I guess I’ll pay more attention to the fair I still probably saved a little money but I don’t know that I save that much I think that sometimes the boarding agent needs to pay attention to the carry-on luggage for sure bring a lot carry-on luggage which doesn’t allow for others to have carry-on luggage who were in the later groups and then they get penalized with their bags being checked as there’s no more room and they’re not basic economy but other than that I like taking United they have nonstop service between Orlando in Houston and it’s been a wonderful experience most of the time and I think the airlines do a pretty good job considering the traveling public themselves to be very challenging at times professionalism and courtesy works both ways and unfortunately people buy tickets and think that it’s a one-way street. they then run to the media who loves to make it about the big guy versus the little guy anyway good job united and I will continue to fly you when you’re the most appropriate carrier to get me to where I want to be."
Cons: "Nothing I just need to pay more attention to my ticket purchase I didn’t realize it was a basic economy until after I bought it which meant I had to pay for my bags which added $50 to my fair which wasn’t that big a deal but then I got a seat all the way the back in the corner which really wasn’t that bad either but if I went to Carrynon a bag I was allowed to do so"
Pros: "Service was good. Boarding was easy. Snacks were great."
Cons: "Entertainment was limited. On tv and not much to choose from."
Pros: "We had an aisle each! The staff were friendly too."
Cons: "A slight delay"
Pros: "Easy, no probs. Clean & on time."
Cons: "Nuttin. All good."
Cons: "United was unorganized and they acted as if these cancellations were no big deal. Those two days that we missed could have been spent at work. Now I have wasted PTO time that I can't get back and wasted money at our resort that I wasn't able to get back. One of the agents at Bradley International Airport Sammy put her hands on my friend and screamed in her face USING FOUL LANGUAGE with a line full of people and their children waiting to check in. It was unprofessional and uncalled for. We did get police and management involved. The overall experience was terrible."
Pros: "Besides being tired and walking what felt like 3 miles to new gate I have not issues to report."
Cons: "I chose to fly Southwest on the way back and for less money I received better service. If you find a reasonably priced flight you don't have to worry about paying extra for baggage or stomach during the flight. On the flight home, I realized that they have bigger seats, your bags ( 1 personal, 1 carry-on, and 2 checked bags) are "free" and they give you a little snack to hold you for maybe and hour. Overall I prefer Southwest because of all the benefits you get while flying with them but it doesn't mean I will never fly United again."
Pros: "NA"
Cons: "I had to be switched to a different airline, arriving 3 hours after I was supposed to I was late to my grandmother's funeral and had the most difficult time even arranging this, as the rep rebooking was adamant about me getting on the next United flight 12 hours later Then, my $310 luggage failed to arrive and I had no clothes to wear to my grandmother's wake. When it did arrive, my suitcase was broken. I tried filing a claim with United and they dismissed it and stated that they were not responsible - a recurring theme from this entire experience"
Cons: "I got late to my next flight !! I loose my flight ."
Pros: "Nothing."
Cons: "The Capt. Lying to Us and after 40 minutes sitting on the rap being held. The Captain came on and said the delay was Dorothea baggage boys loading the plane aft heavy and incorrectly loaded they had to totally remove every bag and reload the entire baggage and move most of the bags to a forward compartment . Many passengers wanted off but they crew refused Another reason not to fly United I am cancelling my return flight an returning on another airline! United is e worse airline in business today. Do not book on United Everett Johnson Bellevue, Washington"
Pros: "I liked how there were some (very few) staff that were friendly and helpful. They somewhat eased the nightmare a bit"
Cons: "There were so many delays that could've easily been avoided. To make matters worse there were two United attendants at the gate hastling every passenger preboarding. The two women were so rude and confrontational. Then I board the plane that I had to be rebooked on because of the delays I missed my connection .. and didn't even get the seat I chose. A woman sat in my seat and refused to move, leaving me with a middle seat next to a lady who was so mean. She kept making rude comments to me throughout my 5 hour flight, and proceeded to get intoxicated. I didn't get home till almost midnight..when I should've been home by 9."
Pros: "First flight delayed once board to check a broken light. Then waisted 40 minutes taxiing on tarmac in Houston because they couldn't find a gate. Missed our connection. They put us up in a low end hotel overnight. Then we had our morning flight again delayed as we waited for planes to the take off, so further delays. Arrived in Costa Rica 1 hour late. Now with too many other flights so immigration packed and took another hour and twenty minutes (when we finished there was only a 5 minute wait). Thanks United"
Cons: "Coffee and cookies. Moscow mule"
Pros: "Crew was nice"
Cons: "N/A"
Pros: "From the Take off location in Low Angeles the United personnel was terrific...my parents both have health issues and the wheelchair..go cart service was great..."
Cons: "When returning from Houston to LA...i appreciated that the wheelchair service was ready when they arrived....what i didn't like was that as we entered the elevator one of the workers made a comment to his partner that there was to much weight cause the elevator made a certain noise...but not as if he was concerned more jokingly...my mother is heavy set ...she and our party thought that was rude and unnecessary...they both looked at her...i was going to bring it to there attention, but what good would of it done...so please address it....there were 2 gentlemen...one pushing my father which was a Hispanic male and the other was a black male pushing mother...the one who made the comment was the Hispanic male....and another problem was the airplane was very warm..."
Pros: "Pleasant staff"
Cons: "My husband and I chose seats together when the tickets were purchased and when we received or boarding passes they had been changed, separating us. My 6 foot 200 lb husband ended up against the window in a row with 2 women that were both well over 250 lbs and I was seated with strangers. No free movie as there was on the trip to Texas"
Cons: "Because the flight to Houston sat on the tarmac for so long, no one was able to get food in the airport before boarding this flight. I was at the back of the plane and there was NO fresh food available once the flight attendants reached the last 6-10 rows. Unacceptable that there is not enough food options for all passengers. By the time I landed in Panama, I had not eaten for 13 hours."
Pros: "Crew"
Cons: "Seating drinks/food pricing baggage handling"
Cons: "Both flights were INCREDIBLY delayed. First, the flight from San Jose was delayed 1.5 hours because they were "waiting for the aircraft." After everybody finally boarded the plane an announcement was made that somehow the luggage crew had damaged the cargo hold, and that everybody would have to deplane. It would take 45 minutes for maintenance crew to arrive to assess the situation. People got up, got their luggage out of the overhead bins, and started moving to the front of the plane. The pilot then came back on the intercom and told everyone they would have to return to their seats. Roughly an hour later we finally took off. It would have been the decent thing to do to AT LEAST offer the passengers something (i.e. comp drinks or snacks), but the cheapskates at United DIDN'T EVEN APOLOGIZE. Multiple people missed their connections. Fast forward to IAH--> SAT. Another late flight. This time, everybody boarded the plane only to be informed that due to a problem with the plane's computer everybody would have to sit on the plane while they "rebooted" its computers. This was done TWICE. UNITED AIRLINES, GET IT TOGETHER. There is a very good reason you are consistently ranked one of the WORST US-flagged carriers, which makes you one of the MOST HATED AIRLINES ON THE PLANET. I really and truly pray that the US airlines and their lobbyists lose their battle to prevent foreign flagged carriers from operating within the US, because you all deserve to go bankrupt."
Pros: "I survived."
Cons: "Just before takeoff we had to abort and the crew slammed on the brakes. It was entirely frightening. We sat on the runway for a long time after that while the crew did not have clear answers for what was happening or why. Several things happened while we were on that plane that were unnerving for the passengers. So much so that at least one passenger threw up. Very scary. We did end up taking that plane on to our destination two hours later, but it was the worst flight experience of my life."
Pros: "Little- only plus was bulkhead seating but I was yelled at for having that when flight staff tried to take my seat."
Cons: "Rude staff, no help with my baby, flight attendant repeatedly yelled at me instead of simply talking to me like a Human. Check in attendants almost gave my seat away to a person with a dog, even though there were four other passengers without baby's flying. Then flight attendant yelled at me for "picking" the bulkhead seat- a seat that was given to me after united had taken my seat away earlier that day. I could go on and on. We won't be flying united again and I'm telling my friends with children to do the same."
Pros: "Getting to Houston fast"
Cons: "The plane was hot! And flight attendant was kinda over it."
Pros: "I thought the newer model 737 with the ambient lighting and redesigned overhead compartments gives the plane a less claustrophobic feel. The pilots did a great job navigating through potential turbulence and the flight crew was attentive and on point. A better experience than the crew on the flight from Seattle to Houston four days before. It is my understanding that Continental crews remained intact upon the merge and my assumption was this was a Continental crew versus the United crew that was not as good."
Cons: "The boarding process with the arbitrary assignment of boarding group 5 giving us no chance to bring our one bag on the plane. There is no real enforcement of the carton policies of these airlines which makes it frustrating for those who follow the rule only to be punished and forced to check the bag and go through baggage claim."
Pros: "The crew was very accommodating. The cockpit crew did an excellent job from start to finish. Great landing in Newark."
Cons: "The flight was overbooked by at least 10. The arriving flight delayed departure 45 minutes which almost caused a missed connection. The original time between connection was 90 minutes. By the time the first flight arrived, the second was already boarding."
Pros: "Finally got onto the plane and the rest of my experience was much better."
Cons: "When i got to Houston, the monitors were down, getting help from United was not easy, was passed off to many people and finally directed to the ticket counter. This was my first time in Houston and the gates were a bit confusing. I was in B area of airport for my tiny plane. I was told where to go with the wave of her hand and she did not want to be bothered more...got to the gated area and the agents there were way too busy chatting to be bothered. On my return trip home was better because i now knew the layout. I am sure my next trip will be improved."
Pros: "They got us on this flight (the last one to SNA for the day) after we missed our original connecting flight due to delays on the Frankfurt to Houston flight."
Cons: "crowded"
Pros: "Crew was very friendly."
Cons: "Nothing, great flight."
Pros: "It was pretty cheap"
Cons: "Our flight was delayed because the pilot wasn't there. I feel like this sort of thing always happens with united. When I went to ask for help about my connecting flights I was treated like I was the one inconveniencing them. And the response I got was there's nothing we can do if you miss your connecting flight the only one going out today is at 10 pm but it's completely full already. I feel like it was the worst customer service and while I realize the lady I spoke to was probably not the one responsible for the captain being Mia she could have been more kind and more helpful by 100%"
Pros: "I liked that I finally arrived at my destination and that the crew did their best to accommodate the passengers."
Cons: "-The flight was delayed with only vague information given out at the gate. We were told three different times we would be boarding, but only to be told we were experiencing a delay again. + If the gate announcements included apologies with, or even instead of, the inaccurate boarding calls it would have made a difference. -The passenger compartment was about 15 degrees hotter than the airport and it never really cooled off. The front WC was out of service and created a long line for the only other WC on the plane, which you sometimes you would stand in when turbulence would hit. This was honestly one of the most uncomfortable commercial flights I have taken since 1991. I had to call out of work due to the stress the flight put on some of my joint injuries."
Pros: "The crew was friendly"
Cons: "Delays"
Pros: "More comfortable"
Cons: "Lots of turbulence"
Pros: "Nothing! Rude people, rude service, smaller plane size, crappy food with a smell!"
Cons: "Everything! Rude people, rude service, smaller plane size, crappy food with a smell! Attendant even went as far as saying "This is why I prefer working with first class" to his co worker, making reference about a passenger. And even went as far as saying "I really need a drink after this one" when the passenger overhead his first comment and asked him why he's being so rude to her family and no one else. Also didn't bring us or the passenger behind us any water when we asked, and when asked again, he rudely said "You will have to wait, can't you see I only have two hands. I haven't gotten to your row yet" which he had, and passed, which is why the man behind us mumbled to us, and we made a request too."
Cons: "-Was a United flight despite being billed as Lufthansa, I always try and avoid United as I have had bad experiences in the past. -Was unable to choose seats online. -Upon check in was told that only middle seats were available for my partner and I away from each other even though we showed up 6 hours early in order to get good seats as we couldn't check in online. -We then paid extra to get seats next to each other (250 bucks) and the entertainment systems in those seats were broken. -When we told the flight attendant staff they said there was nothing they could do and were rude. -When trying to explain the situation to United Customer service they were also rude."
Pros: "Safe flight"
Cons: "Very old plane"
Pros: "The crew"
Cons: "passengers being physically sick next.to me"
Pros: "the ride was good"
Cons: "if you ask a stewardess if the airplane from Houston to Leon has a power source for the iPhones you get - scolded, "sir, this is not a 737". Really. Would I ask if i knew the particulars of all the plane sizes in your fleet. I asked because I needed one and do not study the amenities of each plane. Try some politeness with the "idiocy" of passengers slammed into a window seat by your automated seating computer. Next. To fill out the forms provide please offer a pen. You can put your name on it if you like, make it a gimme pen. I tried internet unsuccessfully, then joined United Club to get wifi, only to discover after too late its only at the airport; then tried go go wifi; only to discover we flew out of range, again no notice that there was a particular range - your inflight ap services are not friendly revealing the shortcomings of a purchase."
Pros: "The people were pretty nice. The cabin was quiet and dark for the long part of our trip. That was good because we were worn out from our stay in OKC. There weren't as many people on the flight from Houston to Seattle as there were on the Seattle to Houston part of our trip, so we were able to stretch out!"
Cons: "My chair was malfunctioning, and when the flight attendant asked me to put it in its upright position I could not comply immediately. I told her it was faulty, and she just kept saying push the button, which I was clearly doing. She didn't yell, but was stern and loud to the point where I started to become frustrated with her. At this point my girlfriend reached back and pulled the chair forward while I mashed the button hard. I don't feel like I should be the one held responsible for your faulty mechanism. I was already tired, uncomfortable, and she added miffed to the equation. We were already delayed and had to deboard and reboard after we had a 3 hour layover in the boring Houston airport."
Cons: "Late departure - maintenance issues. When I arrived in Managua my luggage was lost. The United representative promised it would arrive 10 hours later at 9pm that night and he would have it delivered to me at my hotel that night. When we called to check in the status later that day we were told they had no one to deliver the bag that night (crazy because there are many drivers and taxis in Managua available that night) but promised it would arrive at 9am. 9am came and went and no bag. Wasted a holiday day in Nicaragua because had no clothes to wear to go on any tours. Horrible service."
